If you need to register your child with the Civil Registry Office or obtain civil registry documents, you must:
◦ Inform the Municipal Communities and Return Officer (MCRO)
◦ Visit the Civil Registration Offices in your municipality to obtain the required documents.
These services are provided by public health institutions at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels, such as:
◦ Family Medicine Centers in your municipality;
◦ Regional Hospitals;
◦ Hospital and University Clinical Service of Kosovo.
If the required medical services are not available from these institutions, you may submit a request to the Municipal Office for Communities and Return for:
◦ Reimbursement of expenses for medical treatments not provided by public health institutions for up to 12 months.
◦ Coverage of medications not included on the essential medicines list for up to 12 months.
If you are living in difficult socio-economic conditions and meet the criteria set by the Regulation on Reintegration, you may benefit from:
◦ Rent coverage for a period of up to 12 months;
◦ Renovation or reconstruction of a partially or fully destroyed settlement;
◦ Provision of household furniture;
Your children can immediately continue their education in Kosovo.
Inform the Municipal Communities and Return Officer (MCRO) that your children need access to education.
The MCRO will refer you to the Municipal Directorate of Education to enroll your child in the shortest possible time.
Schools provide the following for children’s needs:
◦ Language courses and supplementary lessons for repatriated children who need help integrating into the education system;
◦ Assessment of the student’s knowledge if school documentation is missing;
◦ Consultations with the school pedagogue or psychologist.
The Municipal Communities and Return Officer (MCRO) will refer you to the Employment Office in your municipality for:
◦ Employment opportunities;
◦ Vocational education opportunities, on-the-job training, and employment subsidies.
◦ Self-employment opportunities and promotion of entrepreneurship (grants).
If you are in severe socio-economic conditions, the Center for Social Work in your municipality will assess your family’s needs to determine eligibility for social schemes and services.
Emergency assistance will be provided by the Department for Reintegration of Repatriated Persons and Integration of Foreigners (DRRPIF) immediately after the return of the repatriated person (or family), based on an individual needs assessment.
Following the needs assessment, repatriated persons may benefit from a 3-month package (including food, hygiene and material supplies) and a firewood package for the winter season.
